Colby

Here are a few of the pics I took of my nephew, Julie, and Colby. I can still remember being at the hospital when Trevis was born. Time flies!!! Colby is absolutely precious and I could photograph him all day. As you can see, he is starting to smile when he knows his mommy is talking to him. It's amazing how much love you can feel for something so small! These are definitely times to cherish because they will disappear before you know it.

We gave it our best shot...

Last year we started going to Woodward Park for fall pictures with my in-laws and needless to say this trip wasn't quite what we were hoping for. It was a little chaotic trying to get so many people. All the kids wanted to do was run around and play and we wanted them to cooperate and give us that perfect shot that we could hang on our walls. Not so much!! The lighting seemed to be off too. My poor brother-in-law lost the only set of keys to their SUV so that created a little panic to say the least. The keys were found in the end and a few good pics were collected along the way but we will definitely give it another shot...no pun intended.

Cale at 10 months...

I can't believe my little boy is already 10 months old. He has been such a joy in my life with a smile that melts my heart every time. I am so blessed to experience motherhood!

Ava always wanted a little sister...

Ava wanted a little sister from the time I was pregnant but has fallen completely in love with her little brother. He's such a good sport when she is trying out new hairstyles on him.

How time flies....

Wow, I guess I have been on a little break from my blog. We've had sickness in the household pretty much the whole month of October plus we're building a house. I'm not one of those people who hates going through the building process but enjoys it along the way and finds it quite fun. It seems like today I've had all these random thoughts going through my head. Some of no relevance and importance, but maybe you can relate anyway, and then others of great relevance and importance.

First of all, one with little importance, but it seems it's the way things work with Ava. I've been trying to get her to wear her cute jean jacket from The Gap. I have gotten her one every year. For some reason, she always avoids it. Maybe just to frustrate me! So today I put on her skinny jeans and asked her what jacket she wants to wear and she picks her jean jacket which of course I never put with jeans because they don't match!!! BUT SHE DID WANT TO WEAR THE JACKET....I tried to focus on that and didn't mention the no jean jacket with non matching jeans rule.

I just found out last night that Ava's teacher is leaving for 8 weeks to have a surgery. That is about the worst thing that I could have heard after her finally looking forward to going to school. Now she is telling me she wants me to teach at her school tomorrow. I'm already dreading the mornings again. I feel like someone is constantly scratching their fingers on a chalkboard when it comes to her emotional side. So I've decided to put my application in a Jenks and get a job and move up with her every year. NOT!!! Just kidding! Okay, so I think Carissa is the only one who reads this. I hope I tricked you for just a moment. ha!

We had another picnic in the park today. The weather could not have been nicer! I couldn't resist posting the picture of Jamie. It makes me laugh out loud!!!

Dad kept the kids while I went to a hair appointment today. They've got a great yard for pictures but everybody was tired and the mosquitos were out so we just got a few.

Love, love, love this weather! We met some friends at the park today for a picnic and playdate. I got some cute pics of the kids.

On the way to school today, Ava was actually rushing me to hurry up and get her there. Is it April Fool's Day?
